Business Building (10 pts each task)

Organize
• Watch the Training academy course “Spring Cleaning your Business” in the continuing education section. Using the goals from your planning last week and inspiration from the course put them in terms of SMART goals. Handout is attached to email.
• Using web reports, download your customer contacts. Adding additional columns to the spreadsheet for customers, Studio J, hostesses, and potential recruits. Put an X in the column for all that you know that apply to that contact.
• Looking at your calendar, schedule one or two regular blocks of time each week for connection calls for the remainder of the challenge. Be sure to do this after the challenge to continue building your connections with your customers. Your goal should be to connect with them at least each idea book.
• Using the handout for the Savvy Phone Skills Training Academy course attached to this week’s e-mail, write your phone script. Think of questions you can ask to find out the information you need to know about them.
• Make a list of and order the supplies you will need for your next workshop/gathering you need to order.

Share your what you learned from the Spring Cleaning Your Business” Training Academy course and share one SMART goal you have set on the team Facebook group or as a comment on this week’s blog post.

Connect
• Listen to any Listening Library calls on Effective Communication. Write down one or two things that you will use/do during your calls this week.
• Using the script and your organized list of customers, make calls to discover their needs and invite them to participate in upcoming events/ host gatherings.
• If you leave a message, follow up the message with an email or text and schedule time on your calendar to call again.
• Use a customer tracking form to keep track of details of your calls. Use the call log to keep track of who you called. Highlight the name of the customer in green if your call results in a money making call (customer scheduled gathering, signed up to attend an event, placed a phone order, etc).
• Use a power hour to connect with potential Studio J customers and current customers to share the Fabulous Five Special in February.

Share what Listening Library call you listened to and what you learned and how many “green” highlights you have from this week or how you are progressing in making your connection calls on the team Facebook group or post to the team blog.

  1. I listened to the Listening Library call "Making instant Connections". It was very interesting. The speaked talked about 5 different levels of communication. Connections are more long - lasting and sincere when the level of communication is a 3,4 or 5. These are connections that are more than just a simple "hello" and "how about the weather" etc. You ask deeper questions to get to know your customers and make observations/ comments that offer sincere praise. This puts people at ease and helps to establish lasting connections. I think that if I were to use some of these tips on my phone calls - asking questions and then really listening to answers to see what my customers need are, that I will be better able to meet their needs and establish connections that will last. :) I also took the Training Academy course "Spring Cleaning Your Business" and I am GOING to get a blog up and running. I made it one of my SMART goals. I have had it on my list to get done forever and have run into obstacles that have stopped me every time, so I am going to overcome those obstacles this time and actually get it up and running. Then there will jsut be finding the time to post - but that is a whole other ball of wax! :)
