January 11 - Training Tuesday - Day #9

Today is 1.11.11 - how cool is that date?! I love it - so just for fun we are changing the points!

11 points:
Select and watch any consultant video. There are many talented consultants out there who do UStream and YouTube videos. Some of my personal favorite are Tresa Black, Tracey Mason and Aaron Booth. Just search on YouTube for the names and you should find some great videos!

Respond: Post on the blog what you watched and the link so we can watch it too!

21 Points:
Select and watch any Training Academy course. Have you started working on a degree in the training academy? Many of the videos are less than 15 minutes. Pick one that is relevant to your goal for this challenge month and watch it.

Respond: Post on the team blog, what video you watched and what you learned to boost you towards your goal.

31 points:
Listen to the Listening Library “Gathering Authenticity” by Louise Moyer and/or “Handle Objections with Confidence and Grace” by Mary Christensen.

Respond: Post on the team blog your “take away message” from the one you listened to.

"See" you tomorrow!

  1. I really enjoy watching Tresa Black's videos and this time was no exception! I watched a video about making a mini scrapbook with pockets. I think that I am going to use the idea to make a masculine version perfect for a workshop before Father's Day! I think the Lucky papers and the Lucky journaling spots will make a perfect gift- just add pictures and a gift card or two. :) Here is the link to the video I watched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STBJMe4w6pw

I decided that since one of my goals for this month is to increase the number of WOTG kits I sell, I would watch the Workshops on the Go course in Continuing Education. I now feel even more comfortable pointing out all of the benefits of the kits to my customers.

  2. I listened to the listening library "Handle Objections...". I think that is one thing that slows me down in my business. I even don't do things, because I create the objections ahead of time, without even asking. It is good to remind myself that I'm providing an opportunity & not to prejudge my customers. I also am reminded to be direct about what you want them to know while still be friendly & inviting. ( o:

  3. I watched 2 courses from the training academy. One that doesn't seem like I need - Going Straight to the Top. It was actually very good. I thought it would be good to watch since I should see how they encourage new consultants to get started & make their goals. I figured if I could get a recruit or two, it would be helpful to share w/them the STTT info. It has some good basic info.
I also watched Finding Potential Customers & Hostesses. This is actually a good one to help me get going on connecting with people about CTMH or reconnecting with old customers. It has some good tips on getting bookings.
