It's amazing how helpful it is to actually think ahead, to plan and prepare for future events. It takes so much pressure off as you get closer to your events because much of the work is already done! So, here we go....
10 pts: Prepare hostess packets. I like to include the Rewards Come Now brochure along with a Hostess Wish List, Hostess Check List, Hostess 40 Guests List, SOTM flyers, and an EZ Invite letter explaining the benefits of using EZI, SOTM flyers, current or upcoming hostess specials, and I also include a personalized (if I know in advance the name of the hostess) or use a generic cover letter explaining the contents. ALWAYS include your business card or magnet for easy reference and a small hand-made card is a plus. (This can be a "thank you for hosting" card or a left-over previous make 'n take project, or a current make 'n take option, stamp of the month, etc)
Respond: Comment on this post with how many packets you prepared? Did you include additional items not mentioned above?
20 pts: Prepare new gathering game materials.
Respond: Share a photo if possible or a brief description of what you did to prepare your game.
30 pts: Prepare gathering project for January/February gatherings.
Respond: Share details of the gathering project you will be using in January/February. E-mail me (ScrpnChris@comcast.net) with a photo to post to the team at the end of the week!
"See" you tomorrow!
Chris

I try to re-stock and update my Hostess Packets at the beginning of each month. I have 5 that I keep in a folder with pockets and page protectors in the middle. Each of the 5 page protectors has an explanation of a different part of hosting a party. I put a copy of the Opportunity Knocks flyer on the back of one page, the SOTM flyers for the current month and the next month on the back of one, etc. I include information about collecting outside orders and several blank order forms. I also put in a package of invitations in case they aren't using EZ-Invite.
ReplyDeleteI decided to do the "Conversation Hearts" game at my next gathering, so today I went to the store and bought a bag of the big conversation hearts and a package of small cellophane bags. When I get to Ikea in a couple of days, I will get a large clear jar and a small scoop so that everyone can see the pretty colors and scoop out what they want. I wrote out my twelve sentences to go with the sayings on some of the hearts. As I want to use it to get more bookings, I decided that I will do a small prize (grab bag or other small item) as the prize for the most "points" BUT they can choose to trade it in for extra Hostess Rewards if they book a party. I think I will try it out at my next gathering and see how it goes and then "tweak" it if I need to! :)
